Vivid Dev ("we", "our", or "us") built Vivid Player as a free, ad-supported application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app.

Vivid Player is a media player application. We do not require account creation or login. The information collected is minimal and primarily handled by third-party services integrated into the app.

Vivid Player stores your recently played file names and URLs locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

2. Media File Access

Vivid Player requests permission to access media files (videos and audio) stored on your device. This access is used solely for the core functionality of the app — to browse and play your local media files. We do not upload, copy, or transmit your media files to any server.

3. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

3.1 Google AdMob

3.2 Google Firebase

We use Firebase for the following services:

• Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the app experience.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash reports and diagnostic data to help us fix bugs.
• Firebase Remote Config: Allows us to update app settings remotely without requiring an app update.

The information collected through third-party services is used to:

Locally stored data (recently played files) remains on your device until you clear it within the app or uninstall the app. Data collected by third-party services (Firebase, AdMob) is retained according to their respective data retention policies.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect information transmitted through the app, including encrypted network connections (HTTPS/TLS) and certificate verification to prevent unauthorized interception of data.

8. Children's Privacy

Vivid Player is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request information about the data we process.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data. You can clear all locally stored data by clearing app data in your device settings or using the "Clear" button in the app.
• Opt-out of Personalized Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's advertising settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
